Insolvency API guide
Plans and limitsWhat each plan reads, its two limits, and the headers that say where you stand.
Each plan
Every plan reads all 23 countries. On every plan: Find cases, One case, Notices for a case, Every notice, Look up a company, Search by name, Check a list, Coverage, Data gaps, Data gaps, one country, Vocabulary, Your usage.
Professional adds the full history, the paid fields (the court, its case number, claims deadlines, hearings, and the company’s town, postcode and sector) and Claims deadlines, UK petitions, Monthly counts, Official counts.
Intel adds Daily feed, Sectors, Regions, Who started them, How long cases last, How cases end, Rising trends, Country against country. The prices are on the Pricing page.
Two limits
- Calls a minute: a burst over it answers
429 rate_limited, withRetry-After. Slow down and try again. - Calls a day or a month: once used, calls answer
429 quota_exceeded, with when they reset.
A page of results is one call. In a list check, each company is one call. A call refused for its rate or allowance is not counted, and Your usage is never counted.
Where you stand
Every answer carries these headers:
X-RateLimit-Limit: 120 X-RateLimit-Remaining: 117 X-RateLimit-Reset: 1792615124 X-Quota-Remaining: 33916
Fields your plan does not have
On Developer, the paid fields are still there with the value null, and meta.note names the plan that fills them, with meta.history_from and meta.history_to the first and last day your plan reads. Code you write on the free key keeps working when you move up.
